[Case Study] Nonlinear Static Magnetic Field Analysis of Magnetic Shielding

The analysis model is the 1/8 model based on symmetry! We will introduce an analysis case using an external field coil.

We will introduce a case study of magnetic field analysis for magnetic shielding. A coil is placed outside the shield, and the internal magnetic field is calculated. The analysis model uses the "Box shield model" proposed by the Electrical Engineering Society's Investigation Committee. The coil used is an external field coil, and the analysis model is set as a 1/8 model due to symmetry. The analysis type is nonlinear static magnetic field analysis. Eddy currents are not considered. We have included diagrams of the B-H characteristics of the ss400 used in this study, so please refer to the related links below for more details. 【Case Overview】 ■ Analysis Model: Box shield model ■ Analysis Type: Nonlinear static magnetic field analysis ■ Software Used: PHOTO-MAG *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Analysis Case] Magnetic Field Analysis of Gear Sensors

Check how the magnetic field distribution changes when the electrical conductivity, rotation speed, and position of the gears are altered!

When a magnet is brought close to a gear made of a magnetic material, the distribution of the surrounding magnetic field changes depending on the position and rotation speed of the gear. A permanent magnet was placed near the rotating gear to analyze the changes in the surrounding magnetic field. As a result, in the comparison of magnetic flux density due to rotation speed, the gear rotating at high speed exhibited a larger magnetic field along the edge of the gear, and a magnetic field due to eddy currents remained even when it was away from the magnet. [Case Summary] ■ Analysis Type: 3D Nonlinear Transient Magnetic Field Analysis ■ Analysis Module: PHOTO-EDDY *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Magnetic Field Analysis Software 【μ-E&S Vector Magnetic Property Analysis / Development Case Studies】

A small high-output motor developed by Professor Masato Enokizono of the Institute of Vector Magnetic Characteristics Technology, capable of continuous operation at 10,000 RPM with a diameter of approximately 10 cm and air cooling.

Introduction of the article published in the March 22nd edition of the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun. Development centered around Professor Masato Enokizono (Specially Appointed Professor at Nippon Bunri University, Emeritus Professor at Oita University, Visiting Professor at RWTH Aachen University) who conceived the "Vector Magnetic Property Analysis" technology. *The article can be found at the following links: 1) Vector Magnetic Property Technology Research Institute http://www.vector-magtec.jp/index.html 2) Mutec HP news https://www.mutec.org/ - Induction motors are used in various industries; they are simple, robust, resistant to harsh environments, low-cost, and maintenance-free. - For higher output, larger sizes are needed, and even small sizes can achieve high output with high-speed rotation, but core heating is an issue. - Currently, electromagnetic steel sheets are about 300μm thick; thinning them helps suppress heating, and this time, a practical 80μm steel sheet has been invented. - Thin steel sheets are difficult to laminate, so they will be mass-produced using a winding lamination method. A dual-type rotor that sandwiches the rotor from both sides will further increase torque. - EV synchronous motors generate a lot of heat in the coils, and magnets are sensitive to heat, requiring water cooling systems; the developed induction motor uses air cooling, and low output can be integrated into four wheels. - A new choice technique that overturns the common belief that "induction motors are impossible!" The challenges for high-speed operation include coil winding, processing ultra-thin electromagnetic steel sheets, and low friction for the rotating shaft. We aim for practical application through joint research with manufacturers specializing in these technologies.
